Math Olympiads

Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools – MOEMS

Does your child enjoy being challenged with math problems? Do they like to solve fun number puzzles? The Math Olympiads is a fun-filled and creative program to foster mathematical creativity and teach strategies for out-of-the-box problem-solving. It is run by the non-profit public foundation,  Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools. Interested 4th and 5th Graders are invited to join the Seawell Math Olympiads team.

Weekly practice sessions and the contests will be held on Tuesdays, after school from 2:30 pm – 3:45 starting October 25, 2022 and going up to March 14, 2023. The team size is limited to 25. We will have a snack from 2:30 – 2:45 pm giving everyone time to congregate and regroup.

Teacher recommendation is required. Math Olympiads is for those who love solving math problems. Appropriate class behavior is expected. Please ask your child’s teacher (last or this year’s) for a recommendation to join the team. The intention is to ensure that the students who participate will do so appropriately and eagerly.
